BUCKLE UP
THE PBR TOURING PRO SERIES COMES TO HORSEWORLD
(February 8, 2012) One of the toughest shows on dirt, the Professional Bull Riders (PBR) Touring Pro Series, is gearing up to make its debut appearance in the Horseworld Arena in Maraylya NSW on Saturday April 14. It will bring with it all the extreme action and super star match ups between the best bulls and the most accomplished bull riders from around Australia.
The event will feature 40 of PBR Australia’s highest ranked riders all competing once with the top 10 scores then riding off in the Championship Round and a chance to match their skills against 10 of New South Wales toughest bulls.
“We’re really excited about expanding our Touring Pro Series into the Horseworld Arena,” said PBR Australia President and former World Champion Troy Dunn. “Not only will we be bringing a high quality production, we also plan to deliver one of the toughest competitions taking place around regional Australia”.
“PBR Australia Touring Pro Series events are more than just a great action packed sporting competition, studies have shown that they also provide a great economic boost for the local community”, says PBR General Manager, Glen Young. “On average our Touring Pro Series events attract over 40% of our attendees from both inter and intra state, so it is important for us to continue to grow and establish this Tour Stop as one of Horseworld’s and the local community’s annual key signature events’.
Before any of the pro bull riders can lay claims to the $8 000 prize-money, they’ll have to overcome a pen of the rankest bulls ever assembled for the event. These bulls with hulking reputations are renowned for their electrifying intensity and athletic bucking styles.
Taking on a tonne of beast is one big feat and when it is done by the best cowboys in the country, on the back of the nation’s most malicious bulls, its edge of your seat sporting entertainment from start to finish. Three hours of dangerous drama on dirt, 40 bull riders, 50 buck-outs and one of the best night’s Entertainment you’ll ever experience.
If big bulls, brave riders and entertainment weren’t enough, the Horseworld Touring Pro Series is decked out like a concert event: pyrotechnics, video screens and a chest-thumping sound system, in what can only be described as “The Toughest Sport on Earth”.
The vibe for this event is exceptional said Glen Young, the timing is perfect with local support already behind the event. This will be a crucial event on our Tour as our riders are all vying for positions to qualify for the lucrative Cup Series events in Newcastle, Brisbane and the Australian Finals in Sydney, which will be taking place in July.
The location also allows us to include additional activities, 2012 will see the inclusion of the PBR Ute Muster, After Party and the bull ride will keep everyone on the edge of their seats until the last bull has bucked.
Tickets will be offered for pre sale and sold at the gate, with the on sale date set for February 20th. Tickets are limited so we encourage people to get in early to save disappointment.
