CHARTERS TOWERS – DESTINATION OF PBR FANS STATE WIDE

Both PBR Fans from around the state and locally are snapping up the pre sale tickets in what is shaping up to be a sold out PBR event this New Years Eve in Charters Towers.

PBR General Manager, Glen Young said “This has been one of the best pre-selling Touring Pro Events the PBR has experienced throughout the entire of Australia, these early sales are predominantly associated with our International Cup Series Events, however the demand for the New Years Eve event has been overwhelming these past couple of weeks. At this stage there are still around 600 hundred tickets left to sell, so my advice would be to get in early and get your tickets to avoid disappointment. It’s not the biggest of venues, however we have done some restructuring to the arena in order to allow us to fit in more seating, yet at the same time will produce a very intimate bull riding event that will keep fans close to the action.”

We were aware that our stand alone events attract out of town visitors but with this event over 50% of the audience will be travelling into town especially for the event. At this stage PBR fans will be travelling from as far south as Bundaberg, North to Cairns and West to Mt Isa and everywhere in-between.

Ticket sales are being watched on a daily basis as it is important the event doesn’t get oversold, obviously we want a full crowd, yet at the same time we want to make sure everyone leaves having a great experience.

Guildford Coal have jumped on board and sponsored a free Jumping Castle for the kids from 6pm-9pm along with the bands 52 Pick Up and Laurence Sorbello for the after party. In addition to this an alcohol free zone has been established for the kids, which will also have Laser Tag, Play Area and other rides.

Throughout the day the Toyota Ute Muster is expected to attract quite a large contingent of vehicles as they all via for the many prizes along with a handcrafted gold & silver limited edition PBR Toyota Ute Muster Buckle as the major prize for the Judges Choice Award. Being a New Years Eve event, organizers want to make everyone aware this is a family event and to drink responsibly, there is plenty of camping space available so there is no need for people to be drink driving on the night.

In addition to this the field of bull riders will be decided later this week and is expected to attract a long list of accomplished riders from around the country as they do battle against 50 of western Queensland’s toughest bulls in the ultimate man versus beast competition.

Tickets on sale through City Hall in Mossman St Charters Towers or by calling PBR Australia on 0749 454 450
