Australia’s Premier Bull Riders head for Dapto

(October 17, 2011) – Saturday November 5th will be a night filled with rank bulls, high scores and big wrecks as the Professional Bull Riders (PBR) Tour returns to the Dapto Showground’s. It’s a 7.00pm showdown as the nation’s best bull riders prepare to go head to head against a selection of the nastiest bucking bulls that New South Wales has on offer.

The Dapto PBR Touring Pro Division presented by Integrity Pumps and Engineering will showcase a top line up of the most accomplished bull riders from a number of different states and territories.  With Dapto being the third last event on the tour that gives riders the opportunity to qualify for the PBR Australian Cup Series Tamworth Invitational, it will come down to the wire for a lot of riders to secure one of the limited positions on offer.

Illawarra fans will have the opportunity of seeing the two time Australian Champion  David Kennedy who is currently ranked #1 for the 2012 Australian Title.  The 2009-2010 Champion bull rider from Kyogle is at the top of his game and is not going to miss the opportunity to strengthen his lead with an expected strong finish in Dapto.

Kennedy will be joined by the New Zealand bull rider in red hot form Fraser Babbington who won the prestigious 2011 PBR Troy Dunn Invitational and more recently won the opening event of the PBR Touring Pro Division season at Hughenden in North West Queensland.   A large contingent of Queensland and New South Wales riders are also set to stamp their presents on the event.

The PBR’s Touring Pro Division offers our national bull riders the opportunity to compete in PBR sanctioned events, while earning money to qualify for the PBR's Australian Cup Series and the elite Built Ford Tough World Finals in Las Vegas, NV.

Fans will also get to witness the bull power, which will be equal to the task with two of the nation’s leading stock contractors combining to bring along their very best pen of bucking bulls. 

L&M Rodeo Company will not only be producing the event but will also provide a major part of the bull power.  Matt Besant from Running Stream is one of the leading stock contractors on the PBR Tour showcasing his bulls at the recent Cup Series events at Brisbane, Newcastle and Acer Arena in Sydney.   Dominator and Hectic will be featured in the deciding Championship Round.   George Hempenstall from Yass is also contracted to supply a pen that will pack a punch and deliver many high point rides and spectacular buck-offs.

With Australia’s rankest bulls, finest bull riders and the edge-of-your-seat excitement of a PBR show, the Dapto PBR Touring Pro Division is one bull ride not to be missed.  This is not a rodeo – this is the one and only PBR!
