The Bulls head for the coast!

(Oct 10, 2011) - YOU DON’T FORGET the first time you experience the brutal power of a bull up close. Nothing else compares to watching first hand “Man against powerful beast”.
You certainly won’t forget the person who invited you to experience the Professional Bull Riders (PBR). The PBR invites you to share the best as the countdown begins to the Beach & Bulls Classic PBR Touring Pro Division, Sunshine Coast.

The inaugural Sunshine Coast event will see PBR fans and first time attendees from around the state converge on the newly built Sunshine Coast Stadium to witness bull riders from around the nation battle it out for the $ 5,000 prize-purse and a unique hand crafted surf board, which will be awarded to the winner of this inaugural event.

With a full book of what can only be described as the nation’s most accomplished riders, the Sunshine Coast event is shaping up to be an event not to be missed.

Featuring NSW bull riders Chris Lowe from Uralla, Troy Wilkinson from Upper Horton and two time Australian Champion and current #1 season leader, David Kennedy from Kyogle, and who is also coming off a win at the most recent PBR event held in Condobolin NSW.

New Zealand Champion, Fraser Babbington is another confirmed elite rider who is in red hot form after he won the prestigious, PBR Troy Dunn Invitational, then backing it up to win the $10 000 Hughenden Touring Pro Division event a few months later and is currently ranked #3 behind Kennedy.

In a PBR competition it is not all about coming to watch great bull riders,  but more of a case of seeing them matched against the most extreme bulls the sport has to offer all in the one competition. The Beach & Bulls Classic is shaping up to offer some sensational match ups with both in form riders and bulls scheduled to contest this event.

John Gill and Sons from The Rock near Wagga Wagga in New South Wales are synonymous in the bucking bull industry will some of the most electric and powerful bulls in the country.   The Gill’s pen of the bulls regularly feature on the PBR Australia Cup Series Tour and with names like Bambi’s Blood, War Chief and Buck Owens lining up in the Championship Round fans are sure to witness some spectacular buck offs and high marked rides.

Joining the Gills will be Frank Biddle from Warwick, with both contractors being involved in the sport for decades and their breeding programs and bloodlines have produced Champion bulls for the professional bull rider’s circuit for many years.

Pittsworth stock contractor Stuart Timm, will add the finishing touches to this super pen.  Timm’s will bring a truck load of buckers including the notorious Zee Force. Combining all three stock contractors will provide bull power that is destined to test even the most accomplished riders giving audiences edge of your seat entertainment from start to finish.

The Sunshine Coast Sea Eagles have taken no short cuts when it comes to producing a great bull riding experience.  Pyrotechnics and a huge big screen will give fans the opportunity to witness replays of each ride along with a number of PBR Highlight packages that are focused on further educating the fans about the sport.

In addition to that they have the nation’s leading Arena Announcer, Warren Matotek to keep the crowds informed and entertained, whilst Shane “Mad Dog” Simpson takes centre arena as the leading bullfighter to protect the riders from the raging bulls.

With Australia’s rankest bulls, finest bull riders, pyros, big screen and the edge-of-your-seat excitement of a PBR show, the Beach & Bulls Classic is one bull ride not to be missed.  This is not a rodeo – this is the one and only PBR!
