The Bulls are back in Condobolin!
(Sept 23, 2011) - YOU DON’T FORGET the first time you experience the brutal power of a bull up close. Nothing else compares to watching first hand “Man against powerful beast”.
You certainly won’t forget the person who invited you to experience the Professional Bull Riders (PBR). The PBR invites you to share the best as the countdown begins to the Condo Chutes and Utes PBR Touring Pro Division, Condobolin.
The October long weekend will see a tsunami of people converge on the western New South Wales township of Condobolin to witness one of the PBR’s signature events on the annual national tour as bull riders from around the nation battle it out for the $ 5,000 prize-purse and hand crafted trophy buckle.
With a full book of what can only be described as the nation’s most accomplished riders, the Condobolin event is shaping up to be an event not to be missed. Featuring the likes of NSW bull riders Chris Lowe from Uralla, Troy Wilkinson from Upper Horton and two time Australian Champion and current championship leader David Kennedy from Kyogle. They will be joined by the New Zealand bull rider in red hot form Fraser Babbington who won the prestigious 2011 PBR Troy Dunn Invitational and more recently won the opening event of the PBR Touring Pro Division season at Hughenden in North West Queensland. A large contingent of Queensland riders are also set to stamp their presents on the event.
In a PBR competition it is not all about seeing the best riders but more a case of seeing the best riders being matched against the most extreme bulls the sport has to offer in the one competition and over the years this is something the Condobolin Committee has become renowned for achieving with their event.
The Condobolin committee takes no short cuts when it comes to producing a great bull riding experience. A huge big screen gives fans the opportunity to witness replays of each ride along with a number of PBR Highlight packages that are focused on further educating the fans about the sport. In addition to that they have included fireworks in the production.
Bull Contractors George Hempenstall from Yass and L&M Rodeo Co from Running Stream have been bringing bulls to this event since it first started with the PBR and their bulls combining with the riders to deliver western NSW bull riding fans many great rides and this year will be no different. Lab Rat, Hell Boy and Up in Smoke will be all out to make short work of the bull riders who attempt to make the required eight seconds on their backs.
With Australia’s rankest bulls, finest bull riders, big screen, pyros and the edge-of-your-seat excitement of a PBR show, the Condo Chutes and Utes PBR Touring Pro Division is on bull ride not to be missed. This is not a rodeo – this is the one and only PBR!
