Bull Riding Superstars Confirmed For Luddenham
A stellar cast of bull riding superstars was today confirmed for the PBR Challenger Series Luddenham, which is scheduled to ignite Western Sydney on Saturday, October 30.
Professional Bull Riders world number fourteen Ben Jones will headline the strongest line up of cowboys to assemble for a PBR Challenger Series event this season. Fresh from his efforts in the the PBR World Finals in Las Vegas, Nevada, 31-year-old Jones (Goulburn, NSW) is sure to set the Luddenham Showgrounds alight with his tenacious bull riding skills and outrageous post ride dancing!
Joining Ben Jones in Luddenham are fellow Vegas finalists Jason O’Hearn (Rothbury, NSW), Pete Farley (Kempsey, NSW) and David Kennedy (Kyogle, NSW). Each of these world-class riders have competed extensively this year on the PBR Built Ford Tough tour in the USA and bring with them a wealth of international experience.
Round number 10 of the 2010 PBR Challenger Series, Luddenham is the second last opportunity for Australia’s premier bull riders to stake a claim for a spot in the PBR Australia National Finals, which take place in Tamworth on November 26 and 27. Accordingly Australia’s top locally based cowboys have also signed on for a shot at the inaugural Luddenham title.
Twenty-six-year-old Kennedy from Kyogle, NSW currently leads the PBR Australia standings by 586 points over Uralla’s Chris Lowe, with teen sensation Troy Wilkinson a mere 173 points further back.
Queenslanders Jim Rowsell, Craig Postle and Matt Postle, who sit in fourth, fifth and eighth places respectively, have also booked a their spots on the Luddenham bill. Rowsell lead the Challenger Series early in the season, before spending three months competing in the US. With his first shot at a PBR Australia title still within reach, the laconic lad from Goondiwindi is determined to give it everything he’s got next Saturday night.
Gates at the Luddenham Showgrounds open at 12pm for the Rum Runners Australia Ute Show, with bull riding from 7pm.
With Australia’s rankest bulls, finest bull riders and the edge-of-your-seat excitement of a PBR show, the PBR Challenger Series Luddenham is one bull ride not to be missed. This is not a rodeo – this is the one and only PBR!
